( × cm), Paintings, Wei Zhike (Chinese, active ca. 1600–after 1636), Though few of his works survive, seventeenth-century sources describe Wei Zhike as an important painter in the Nanjing art scene of the late Ming dynasty (1368–1644). In this handscroll, Wei performs a virtuoso feat, weaving together famous sites in Nanjing and shifting seasons using the brush modes of various old masters
