A cabin, part of a substantial mining operation in the hills above St Elmo, Chaffee County, Colorado. The cabin has been partly restored with a tin roof, possibly for later use. a number of the old mines in the area have re-opened, often worked on a part time basis. This particular cabin is bigger than those often inhabited by miners and was probably part of a larger operation.
