A cased pair of officer's flintlock pistols, Russia, dated 1831. Round, Damascus barrels with smooth bore in 17 mm calibre, patent breechblocks and the original muzzle protector inserts. Gold-bushed vents and gold-inlaid lines on the barrels (missing on one). The tangs are engraved "1" and "2" respectively. Lightly engraved flintlocks with waterproof pans (gold plating missing in each case) and frizzens on rollers. Smooth walnut stocks, finely engraved brass furniture with mostly preserved fire gilding.
