The "Lord of the Glens" trip boat passing through Kytra Lock on the Caledonian Canal, Scotland

Kytra Lock lies on the Caledonian Canal in Scotland, which connects the east coast at Inverness with the west coast at Corpach, near Fort William, a distance of some 62 miles (100 km), of which only one-third is man-made. This picture shows the "Lord of the Glens", a popular cruise ship, navigating through the lock en route to Fort Augustus and Loch Ness.
