The dea-conesses themselves in 1895 formed an organization, calledThe Methodist Episcopal Deaconess Society, in order tohold property and provide means by which deaconesses canbe cared for in time of sickness or old age. So rapid has been the growth of the move-ment, and so thoroughly has it identified itself with -all theevangelistic and benevolent work of the Church, that theChurch is fully impressed with its providential origin and itsright to be promoted in every part of the world.
