The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Tank Landing Ship JS Osumi (LST-4001) prepares to conduct a search and rescue exercise in the Pacific Ocean, Mar. 5, 2023. The Navy conducted the SAR exercise alongside the JMSDF so they are better prepared to react to emergencies while out at sea.
