A Coast Guard boatcrew from Station Los Angeles-Long Beach rescued a juvenille sea lion entagled in fishing gear on January 14, 2017 near Newport Beach, California. The crew took the sea lion aboard the vessel and called the Pacific Marine Mammal Center for assitance who transported the pup to the recovery center in Laguna Beach for rehabilitation.
