Military personnel observe a church tower that miraculously survives heavy shellfire during World War One in Euvezen, Meurthe et Moselle, France. The surrounding buildings, however, are completely destroyed. This photograph was taken on September 22, 1918, and was received on November 6, 1918. It was approved by the censor, but no date was provided for the stamp.
