The Abraham Lincoln statue within the Lincoln Memorial is a monumental sculpture that has become one of the most recognizable symbols of American democracy and leadership. Standing 19 feet tall and weighing 175 tons, the seated figure of Lincoln is made from 28 pieces of Georgia white marble.
