Afghan construction workers build a fence for a school in Jalrez, in the Wardak province of Afghanistan on Sept. 30. The school was build with funds by the Afghan Public Protection Program. The AP3 program was designed to increase security, empower local residents and encourage them to play a larger role in protecting their villages and keeping insurgents out of Wardak Province.
