Tir Sisial is the first development of its' kind to receive planning permission under the Welsh Governments' One Planet Development guidance. In order to build a permanent dwelling in the open countryside the residents must first spend 5 years demonstrating their ability to manage the surrounding land for ecological benefit, live a low carbon/ low ecological footprint lifestyle and sustain their basic household needs from land based activities.
