Taken from Dhulikel a hill resort just outside the Kathmandu valley this region is notable for the amazing cloudscapes thrown up by monsoon weather systems meeting the big Himalayan foothills This image has been taken with an infra red modified camera that darkens skies and lightens foliage resulting in dramatic ethereal landscapes The photograph has also been sepia toned giving soft brown tones and an old fashioned feel reminiscent of Victorian photography Although it’s a modern picture this is a timeless view
