Trial of Lord Buckingham in the Star Chamber, 1626
Illustration by Henry Marriott Paget (1857-1936) from a special edition history of England published in 1903. Bucking ham had been impeached by Parliament in May 1626 for the failure of the Cadiz expedition of 1625. Charles I dissolved parliament to save him in June & he was tried in the star chamber instead and acquitted.
