SAN DIEGO (June 17, 2022) – The diversity committee of Commander, Naval Surface Force, Pacific Fleet gives a presentation on Juneteenth. Originating in Galveston, Texas, and being celebrated since 1865, Juneteenth became a National Holiday on June 17, 2021 to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans.
