Miang kham ('one bite wrap') is a traditional Southeast Asian snack from Thailand and Laos, using wild betel or pickled tea leaves to wrap a variety of ingredients such as shallots, chili peppers, gingers, garlic, limes, coconut sugar, small dried shrimps, served with a dipping sauce. Miang Kham Bua Lhuang shown here, is a variant from the Thai royal court, which uses lotus petals for wrapping.
