Pilgrims climbing up to the Skete of St. Hariton in the Holy Land


The Firan Monastery (Skete of St. Hariton) The original monastery was built by Haritoun in the 4th century. It was restored by the White Russian Church in the 19th century. The restored monastery is built around caves where the original monks lived. Haritoun’s tomb is also inside the restored monastery. The monastery has orchards as well as remains of buildings which originally housed pilgrims.
