An etched morion-cabasset, Italian, circa 1580 A ridged skull, forged in one piece with a short point on top bent toward the rear. Narrow brim with turned under and corded edge. Rich decorative etching. On both sides of the calotte there are two cloverleaf cartouches with pictures of a stag and two wrestlers amid trophy bands. The brim is surrounded with trophy decoration.
