Tree, attaining 80 ft.: )"jrancliL-,s liglit yellowish gray, covered with short pu- bescence when young: petioles densely pubescent, % in- long: Irs. oblong-obovate, glabrous above, grayish pu bescent beneath, 4-6 in. long: fls. almost sessile.
