Josephine, is a 50 year old woman who lives on the outskirts of the city of Masaka in Central Uganda. Her husband is a retired driver. Josephine had 10 children. Two of whom she lost to AIDS, leaving her with seven grandchildren to look after. Josephine joined BRAC in 2009 as a model farmer. She said, ‘I wanted to be an example for others in my community’.
