A Saddle-billed Stork thermals to gain hight as it flies between its nest on a huge old Baobab to the Ruaha River to catch aquatic food for the chicks. The small yellow wattles at the base of the beak help identify a male from the yellow eye of a female. The large size and distinctive black and white plumage make it easy to identify from other large storks.
