Local man shaping surfboards to ride on the Kampar River tidal bore wave.

A local man of Teluk Meranti shapes surfboards for the Kampar River tidal bore wave. Just two ywars prior to this in 2010, these same locals were scared of the tidal wave known locally as the Bono. Then foreign surfers came and surfed the wave, which they gave the name 7 Ghosts. Now the locals are converting from wide eyed onlookers to enthusiastic participants once the right tide cycles deliver the waves.
