The view down towards the Mekong River from Wat Phu, a ruined Khmer Hindu temple complex dating back to the 5th century and believed to be one of the first Khmer temples ever built, in Champassak in Southern Laos. The temple switched to become a Theravada Buddhist temple later; it is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
