Lt. Gen. Daniel L. Karbler, commanding general, Army Space and Missile Defense Command, engages with Soldiers at the Fort Greely Missile Defense Complex – Fire Team Readiness Facility, Alaska, Feb. 1, 2023. As a part of a broader visit to look at improvements to quality-of-life initiatives at the remote outpost, Karbler spoke candidly with military police from SMDC’s 49th Missile Defense Battalion including several Soldiers from the 113th Military Police Company, Mississippi National Guard, who were activated to augment the 49th on the installation’s Missile Defense Complex.
