Broken Broad Line.—This is a broad line runon and afterwards cut in two at the centre withthe ground color, making- a half-inch , or distance fine lines are then run on, andare joined by cross lines at the opening- of thebroad line, or the edg-e and distance lines may beomitted, and the break in the broad line filled withshort fine lines at right angles to the broad line,the middle one to be somewhat the long-er. Short Broad Line.—Broad line on centre ofspokes, to be one-third the leng-th of same, andthe spaces above and below the broad line filledwith fine lines forked to the width of broad stripe.
