Endoscope view of the uterus (upper centre) and its fallopian tubes (either side of uterus). The uterus is a hollow muscular organ of the female reproductive system. The fallopian tubes connect the uterus to the ovaries. Every month one of the ovaries releases an egg that travels along the fallopian tube to to the uterus. If the egg is fertilised it implants in the uterus and grows.
