Airworthy 1930's vintage Hawker Hind owned and flown by the Shuttleworth Trust at Old Warden, Bedfordshire, UK
The Hawker Hind light bomber was a mainstay of the RAF in the mid-1930's. Developed from and very similar to the Hawker Hart, this one was sold to Afghanistan. It was recovered as a wreck in the 1970's, brought back to Britain overland on a lorry, and rebuilt to flying condition. It is owned and flown by the Shuttleworth Trust at Old Warden, Bedforshire, where it was photographed on the flight line during an air display. Hawker Tomtit and Blackburn B2 trainer biplanes in the background.
