Leaves ovate,or some of them ovate-lanceolate, short-petioled,sharply serrate, serrulate, or the upper entire, acuteat the apex, rounded at the base, 1-2 long, 4-i2wide, the uppermost usually minutely canescent;inflorescence as in the preceding species ; bracts long-awned, appressed, the awn about one-third the lengthof the body; calyx canescent, its teeth equal, bristle-pointed, widened below, one-third to one-half aslong as the tube; corolla-tube about equalling thecalyx.
