Statue "'t Manneke uit de Mane". This statue refers to the folk almanac that was published under this name from 1881 by "De Swighende Eede" (1880), a secret society of West Flemish flamingants under the inspiring inspiration of Hugo Verriest. Priest Alfons Van Hee was editor-in-chief of this almanac from its foundation until his death in 1903. Cloaked sculpture from 1978 by sculptor Adhemar Vandroemme (Ypres) on a plinth with inscription: "1881 ALFONS VAN HEE AND THE SWIGHENDE EEDE 1881". Depiction of a little boy reading the almanac in the crescent moon.
