Cloisonne enamel covered box with lotus design, Ming dynasty, China, late 15th century. A small, round red brass cloisonne pill or seal paste box. The top is decorated with a lotus head and leaves in red, green, white and yellow enamels on a turquoise ground. The sides are decorated with floral scrolls.
