Grey-headed kingfisher (Halcyon leucocephala) perching on the end of a branch. The grey-headed kingfisher has a wide distribution across sub-Saharan Africa. They prefer well-developed woodland often close to rivers or streams, avoiding arid regions. Typically they prey on insects and small lizards. Photographed in Kenya.
