Three yachts started, the Tamerlane. Lila andGauntlet; Tamerlane winning- after a five days passage. In i(jo7 anotherhighly successful race Avas held over the same course, nine vachts com-peting in the large sailing boat class, and three in the small, of which the schoon-er Dervish was the winner in the former and the yawl Lila in the latterclass. Two power boats, Ailsa Craig and Tdaho also raced to Bermudaat this time, the former winning. The Club has also conducted many VERANDAof the Brooklyn Yacht Club House. The Clubs favorite long distance event now is the Ocean Race to CapeAlay and return. In 1911 it will also hold an ocean race for power boats fromNew York to Halifax, a distance of about 700 miles.
