Grey sky portrait, looking down from Ann Frank Centre, people walking 'Graffiti Alley', Rosenthaler Strasse, Berlin

The front building of Haus Schwarzenberg, at Rosenthaler Strasse 39, was built in 1864. Other buildings with several courtyards were added, to the rear, in 1907. From 1940-1944 Otto Weidt owned a workshop, to the rear of the front building, for manufacturing brushes and brooms for the Wehrmacht, employing and protecting several Jewish employees from deportation. The workshops to the rear, accessed by an archway in the front of the building, now house the Otto Weidt Museum, Ann Frank Zentrum Berlin (opened in June 1998), Kino Cinema, Monster Kabinett and Neurotitan Shop. The archway at Rossenthaler 39 leads to a 'Graffiti Alley', seen here from the top windows of the Ann Frank Centre.
