Not exactly deficient in this respect, as at a squareheel and toe he can cover the ground rapidly for the pro-gression that is confined to a walk, especially when theinertia of a heavily laden cart has to be overcome, and after being started kept moving. There is an immense amount ofbone and muscle in the elephantine proportions of BlackPrince, and that, too, without the usual amount of coarse-ness which is seen in the draft horse.
