The weathered architecture showcases the historic charm of the charming Italian town of Revere.

Revere is a small town in southern Lombardy (Italy) belonging to the province of the city of Mantua. It abuts the southern bank of the Po River and has very ancient origins, officially dating back to 870 AD, that is, Carolingian times. However, given its strategic location along the river axis, it is assumed that originally, as early as the Bronze Age, there was an Etruscan settlement on the swamped island in the Po, later transformed into dry land. Remains of Roman habitation have been found just outside Revere. In the Middle Ages, precisely because of its strategic position concerning trade, it was contested by Mantua, Modena and Reggio Emilia. From 1332 Revere became part of the territories of the lords of Mantua, the Gonzaga, who held it until 1707, when it was ceded to Austria. In 1866 Revere passed to the Kingdom of Italy.
