A parade helmet for an officer of the cuirassiers, reign of King Victor Emanuel III Nickel-plated sheet steel skull with gilt brass fittings. Monarchial cipher "VE" on a crowned silver eagle emblem in front of a rayed background, above which is the crowned cross coat of arms in an oval field. Velvet-underlaid, relief-worked brass chin scales on rosettes with five-pointed star, the left side with a red cloth cockade.
