De Havilland 4 Observation - British aircraft, similar to the De Havilland 4 model used by the United States. Manufactured with a wing spread of 42 ft. 4 in., powered by a BHP Siddeley 240 HP motor, and had an endurance of 4 hrs. 30 min. Used for day bombing and observation missions. Climbed to 6,500 ft. in 11 minutes and had a speed of miles at that altitude. Had a ceiling of 17,500 ft. Photograph taken in 1918.
