Multnomah Falls, Columbia River Gorge Oregon
At 620 feet with two tiers spanned by a graceful footbridge crafted by Italian masons it s hard to take a bad picture of Multnomah Falls. After shooting several rolls on a cold, rainy, December day I knew I had some good images but I also knew that there were thousands of other identically good photographs of the falls out there. With that in mind I began exploring the area from every angle I could get to. To the bemusement of passing tourists I captured this image by working for nearly an hour lying on the deck of the bridge in blowing spray and rain and framing the falls through the balustrade.
