Fergusaon{Hist. Ind. Arch. ed. 1910, ii. 5J) remarks that the date assigned on the slabmentioned in the text, which is now lost, is much too early. It has beenascribed to Kumarapala of Gujarat ( 1143-74). It probably belongs tothe thirteenth century, and the nude figures show that it was a Digambaramonument, whereas Kumarapala was a kSvetambara.
