Situated in a volcanic rift valley Lake Rotomahana in New Zealand shows fumaroles and geysers with sinter terraces around.

Erupting Mount Tarawera on New Zealand's North Island created at 10 June 1886 the 17 kilometers long Waimangu Volcanic Rift Valley. It is now the youngest geothermal ecosystem with a wide variety of volcanic features like the Lake Rotomahana with a lot of hot springs, fumaroles and geysers with sinter terraces around like at the shores here.
