PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 26, 2016) Landing Signal Officers of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9 ensure the landing area is clear and guide an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Black Aces of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 41 as it turns to land on USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) flight deck during carrier qualifications. John C. Stennis is underway to conduct routine training and participate in National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day events in Hawaii.
