Doss’s interest in the Navy sparked after studying abroad for a year when she was in college and fell in love with traveling. Within Doss’s six years in the Navy, she has obtained her master’s degree and currently working towards her professional human resource certificate in hopes of becoming a Navy Human Resource Officer. “I feel like being a woman in the Navy is tough sometimes,” said Doss. “At the same time, it’s empowering to see people who look like you and it encourages you to want to be a leader for the people that are coming in after you.”
