CurtisEherts, the faithful watchman at Street crossing, whose ser-vices to the Company and to the pub-lic life have been recognized for sev-eral years, continues to hold his posi-tion today as in the past. W. H. In-gram, Charles Clingler, John T. Nor-ton, Joseph Funk and Charles E. Hartare operators and reside in MountUnion. At the passenger station, which isunder the direction also of Charles , Agent, the Ticket Clerk is Watson Fuller, the Assistant Baggageman is William Hollenbaugh. RoyGillam attends to the carrying of themails, and Thornton Bechtel is Watch-iiian and Janitor. William Renninger is foreman ofthe track crew. Mr. Pechtel is also aforeman who resides in this place. THE TIE-TREATING PLANT :\Iciint Unions latest industry is theTie-Treating Plant, having been erect-ed during the last year by the Penn-sylvania Railroad Co., on their groundsnortheast of town, along the JuniataRiver. The purpose of this industryis to treat the ties used on the rail-road to creosote, the object of thisiDeing the preservation of the life ofthe ties. This is a complete industry,and its erection marks a specific addi-tion to the manufacturing interests ofMount Union. It was only a fewmonths ago, in fact, that this plantwas opened for work, having been in-spected by men of the Company whostand at the head along this line, andpronounced satisfactory. In fa
