Grey sky view two traffic lights with posters below elevated railway, complex crossroads at Eberswalder Strasse Station, Berlin

Grey sky early morning view complex road intersection below the elevated railway leading to the Eberswalder U-Bahn Station, a raised iron structure on stone columns, designed by architect Alfred Gresander, and opened in 1913, when the station was named Danziger Strasse. The station closed at the end of World War 2, due to Allied bombing. The post-war division put it in the Russian Sector. In 1950 the station was re-named Dimitroffstrasse, in honour of Georgi Dimitrov, Bulgarian communist leader. The station's name changed to Eberswalder Strasse in 1991, after German re-unification.
