Presentation of the atrocities committed by the French troops in the Dutch villages of Bodegraven and Zwammerdam, at the end of December 1672. The inscription is worn in the air by Personifications of the War and French Cruelty. On the left the burning village of Zwammerdam with the drawbridge. The performance is caught in an octogonal list, wound through thorns and awarded a skull.
