Y., and by this union there has beenborn a family of twelve children—Libby,Mary, Allen, Frank, Emma, Louisa, Sophia,Edward, Stephen, Jerome, Rosa and the children are married except the lastiive. In his political views Mr. Greenwoodcoincides with the Iepublican party. Hisfamily are zealous members of the RomanCatholic church. During tiie late civil war, December 28,1863, our subject enlisted in Company M,Eighteenth New York Cavalry, and served■with that gallant re^iment, being- transferredto Company I, until May 31,1866,when he wasmustered out of service at Victoria, Texas,and returned to his home. His service waschiefly performed in Virginia, the regimentbeing attached to the Army of the Potomac.
