Completed in 1903, Aurora took part in Battle for Tsusima in 1905 and operated in Baltic sea during World War I. In 1917, the blank shot from Aurora signalled the start of the assault of the Winter Palace in , which was the beginning of the October Revolution. After 1957, Aurora became museum-ship.
