Granite boulder marked with stone working holes, the Showery Tor cheesewring in the middle distance, and Rough Tor behind that.

Drill holes in a granite moorstone on Roughtor, made in an attempt to form a lintel or gate post from the boulder, probably between the 16th and 18th centuries. In the middle distance is the characteristic shape of the cheesewring on Showery Tor, behind which can be seen Little Rough Tor and Rough Tor. THe accumlation of stones around the cheesewring are the remains of a ring cairn built around it during the middle Bronze Age (1600-1300BC).
