Wide shot flowering Dog Rose / Rosa canina agg. growing in Cornish hedgerow. Common UK weed Dog Rose was used as a medicinal plant in herbal remedies.

Believed to be one of the several forms of Dog Rose / Rosa canina agg. Between the D/R agg. varieties are different flower shades and other physical characteristics. The reasoning for calling this one out as belonging to the group were the hooked prickles on this specimen. They are quite large, have a really curved hook, and are fairly widely spread out along the stems.
