Near Essaouira, Morocco - Argan trees, argania spinosa, or argania sideroxylon. Argan oil, extracted from the kernal, is valued in cooking.
Believed to have anti-ageing properties, it is also used in cosmetics. Camels and goats eat the leaves and the fruits. The very hard wood is ideal for charcoal.
