Jimmy Braid, joint shared British Open Golf Champion 1900 & Braid (1870 – 1950) was a Scottish professional golfer and a member of the Great Triumvirate (top 3 players) of the sport. (the others were Harry Vardon and John Henry Taylor. He was a five times winner of the Open Championship. He was also known as a renowned golf course architect ( the "King's Course" and the "Queen's Course" at Gleneagles and Carnoustie Golf Links. He was a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. His last couse design was at Stranraer (in 1950 the year he died)
